Interface Upgrade – All Gen to MPVI3

Trade in your previous generation HP Tuners interface for the newest MPVI3 plus (4) or (6) additional Universal Credits! Upgrades are available for all previous generations, including the MPVI, MPVI2, and MPVI2+ (Standard or Pro).

This is a send-in service which means you must ship your trade-in device to HP Tuners before receiving your new MPVI3 device. Please read this page in its entirety before purchasing and note that you will NOT receive your old device back once the upgrade is completed.

Interface Upgrade to MPVI3

Trade in any previous generation HP Tuners interface, Standard or Pro, for the newest MPVI3 plus (4) or (6) additional Universal Credits (depending on what generation your trade-in device is).

The “upgrade process” transfers all the vehicle licenses and credits from your old device to your new MPVI3 device plus some extra credits so you can get started tuning right out of the return box! No need to purchase new licenses for all the vehicles you’ve previously licensed with that device.

How It Works

Step 1: To purchase this upgrade, you MUST be logged into your HP Tuners account and your OBDII device MUST be registered under My Devices. Then, select the serial number of the device you want to upgrade in the dropdown above.

Step 2: Once you have successfully purchased the upgrade service, please back up your old device. You can do this by opening VCM Editor and clicking HELP > RESYNC INTERFACE.

Step 3: Then, you’re ready to ship your old device to HP Tuners! Find shipping and service time information below.

 NOTE: HP Tuners is offering (4) or (6) additional, free credits per (1) upgrade service depending on the generation of the trade-in device. If sending in multiple old devices to upgrade to a single MPVI3 device, only one set of credits will be added to the new device (ex. [2] MPVI devices sent in for upgrading to [1] MPVI3 will only receive [6] total free credits).

 NOTE: This upgrade option does not include the PROLINK+ cable for trade-in Pro devices. However, you can add the PROLINK+ cable to your MPVI3 Interface Upgrade order here. Please note that PROLINK+ is not required to use MPVI3.
